Detailed description
The building was built before 1740. The architectural building was reconstructed in 1898-1899 thanks to the project of architect Leonty Nikolaevich Benois. The ground floor, portal and cornice of the building are lined with granite. The window trim is made of light yellow sandstone. The walls are covered with stucco at the top. Since 1912, the building has been covered with a sculptural group by M. Y. Kharlamov. In the center there is a statue of "Russia" with a shield, as if protecting the society's clients. In the 1920s, the organization "Chresutop" was located here, then the regional society of shareholders, which broadcast on the radio.
