Astoria is a five-star hotel. Old names: "Petrograd Military Hotel", “First House of the Petrograd Soviet“, "First House of the Leningrad Soviet". It has an ideal location for exploring the city. Nearby are St. Isaac's Square, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the charming Lion Bridge, the iconic "Bronze Horseman" and the monument to Peter the Great. The building, built in 1911-1912, was designed by a famous St. Petersburg architect. It was developed by Fyodor Lidval. Historically, this is the most famous hotel in the city, it is included in the list of cultural monuments of federal importance and is protected by the state.
