The Travel Palace of Vasily III
Detailed description
Over the centuries, the building has been rebuilt many times, and its appearance has changed. Vasily III, of course, could not see the palace as it is now. The walls commemorating the Grand Duke are now "hidden" in an 18th-century house, the Golitsyn Palace. The former structure of the palace was built in the 17th century. And during the restoration, white stone masonry was discovered, which presumably dates back to the beginning of the 16th century. It was also discovered that the castle layout was almost completely preserved. The building now houses the Art of Nations Foundation, which was established to promote cultural exchange between different ethnic groups.
