City estate of I.I. Demidov
Detailed description
The Demidov Estate building is a monument of Moscow classicism, built in 1789-1791 by M. F. Kazakov. In the 19th century, the building housed the Moscow State Geodetic and Cartographic University, whose museum is open to visitors. This is one of the few palaces of the Moscow nobility of the XVIII century, the interiors of which have been preserved in relative integrity.
