The house of A.P. Kurlina
Detailed description
A.P. Kurlina's house is located at the intersection of Krasnoarmeyskaya and Frunze streets. The Art Nouveau building was built in 1903 for the wife of the merchant Kurlin A.G. The house bears its informal name in honor of this delightful woman. The pediment of the facade was decorated with stucco molding in the form of an elegant female head. A plant with long creeping shoots was placed above the corner window. A light dragonfly hid on the roof. Butterfly-shaped lattices and openwork gates gave the building a unique and airy feel. Later, a Museum of Art Nouveau was built here.
