Central traction substation T-3 of the Moscow Metro

The central traction substation T-3 of the Moscow Metro is the main facility of the Moscow Metro energy system. It is located in the southern part of Moscow in the Butovo district. Its construction began in 1965 and lasted for more than 20 years. The substation building is designed in a modern style with elements of constructivism. The substation is equipped with the latest equipment, monitoring and automation systems. It measures 260 m long and 44 m wide. It is an object of architectural heritage of the Soviet Union and a landmark of Moscow.
