Detailed description
The oak was planted by the first director of the Botanical Garden, Georg Franz Hoffmann, in 1805. This happened immediately after the acquisition of Aptekarsky Ogorod by Moscow State University. It belongs to the type of "oak petiolate" of pyramidal shape. In addition, the Pre-Petrine willow and plants of mountain meadows, collected in the Alpine Belvedere exhibition, grow in the garden. On the territory you can visit the theater "S.A.D.", and behind the fence there is a museum of the Silver Age.
