Theatre of G.G. Solodovnikov
Detailed description
This historic, rather large building was rebuilt at the end of 1884. The order for the remodeling of the building came from Solodovnikov himself. Later it housed the Zimin Opera House. The theater could accommodate more than 3,000 spectators, and it was reopened after reconstruction in 1885. At the end of the 19th century, the building was completely rebuilt again. However, disaster struck, and in 1907 the theater burned down, and opened a year after the restoration. At the beginning of the 20th century, after the revolution, the building was renamed the Maly State Opera, and since 1936 it has been a branch of the Bolshoi Theater. Nowadays, the opera house is located in this elegant building.
