The city estate of the Myasoedovs
Detailed description
The Myasoedov city estate was built in the second half of the 18th century. The architectural style is defined as classicism. The main building of the estate has a flat portico and a Corinthian order under the pediment, which have survived to this day. The first famous owner of the estate was the Moscow senator, Privy councilor N. E. Myasoyedov. At the beginning of the 19th century, the house passed into the possession of the Privy Councilor F. A. Tolstoy. Since 1830, the estate became the property of the Directorate of the Imperial Theaters, which housed the Moscow Theater School in it. Since 1948, the estate has been home to the State Theater Library, and now the Russian State Art Library.
