Detailed description

The manor was built at the end of the XVIII century for Ivan Grigoriev, a peasant who became a nobleman. At that time, the estate consisted of a two-story main building and stables in the courtyard. After World War II, the south wing was added to the building. In 1840-1850, the harpist Vera Pisemskaya and her family lived in the manor. She had a music and literature salon in her house, where Nikolai Gogol, Pyotr Vyazemsky, Fyodor Glinka, and Franz Liszt were guests. In 1867-1868, the editorial office of his newspaper "Moscow" was located here. Ten years later, the family of architect Roman Klein settled in the estate. Perhaps it was because of him that the manor building became what it is today. The facade of the house is decorated with elements of different styles. The decor of the interstory friezes and under the cornice resembles Gothic elements. On the side of the outbuildings there are caryatids - pilasters in the form of female figures. A border with intricate flowers stretches above the caryatids.
