Soldier 's Hill

To the south of Soldatskaya Gorka, married and retired soldiers settled on a small hillside. When the alarm sounded, soldiers often gathered in the fortress with their families to help them escape from the attackers. A cemetery for officers (known as the Lord's cemetery) and soldiers was built near the northwestern hill, which was called Slobodskoye (the soldiers' family cemetery). These cemeteries were closed in 1914.
