M.I. Pushchin's apartment house
Detailed description
After the return of exile from Siberia, the younger brother of I. I. Pushchin, Mikhail, was allowed to live in the capital. And he ordered to build a new house on Bolshaya Konyushennaya. The house was designed by academician B.B. Heydenreich, and his colleague F.I. Ruska was engaged in its construction. The facade combines features of late classicism with "Renaissance" details: large rustication and paired windows of the side risalites. By the end of 1860, the house was bought by merchant Isidor Osipovich Utin. 10 years later, the plots were transferred to his wife Anna Feygina, and three years later to the wife of the collegiate secretary Maria Maltseva. At the request of the new owner of the plots, the wife of Colonel Olga Meranville de Saint—Claire, the house was rebuilt at the end of the 19th century. The house has another floor. Count A. D. Sheremetev owned the plots in 1913-1917. Today, the building houses an apartment building.
