Summer Garden fence
Detailed description
The Summer Garden is one of the favorite vacation spots of St. Petersburg residents. The park's territory is separated from the busy streets by a fence, which itself is a work of art. The park was enclosed with a grid in the eighties of the XVIII century during the reign of Catherine II. The authorship of the fence is attributed to two architects: P. Egorov and Y. Felten. A gate was installed at the entrance. The elements of the wrought-iron fence were produced at the merchant Denisov's enterprise in Tula. Granite pillars were made in Finland. The granite columns are decorated with elegant granite vases.
