Military History Museum of the Red Banner Volga-Ural Military District
Detailed description
The Military History Museum of the Red Banner Volga-Ural Military District is located in an old historical building that was built in 1914. At that time, the mansion of the Public Assembly was located here. In construction, the architect adhered to such an architectural style as Art Nouveau. This building is one of the most prominent representatives of this style in the city. It is a massive two-storey stone building that stands on a wide foundation. At the intersection of the streets, the building has a rounded facade. Compared to other buildings, this structure looks more modern. The facade is decorated with rectangular window openings framed by pilasters. On the second floor, openwork balconies are attached to the windows. The facade of the first floor is decorated with horizontal semicircular belts.
