Pharmacy of Dr. Pele and sons
Detailed description
The museum is a pharmacy that has been overgrown with various mystical legends throughout its existence. The pharmacy is considered the oldest pharmacy in St. Petersburg. It is located in house 16 on the 7th line of Vasilyevsky Island. The house was built 300 years ago and from the first day there was a pharmacy in it. Initially, the pharmacy belonged to the German community, which included Christopher Ehrenfried Poel or Vasily Vasilyevich Poel, who bought the pharmacy from the previous owner in 1850. In 1911, V.V. Pelya's son reconstructed the pharmacy, turning it into a full-fledged pharmaceutical factory.
