Memorial Complex for Fallen Soldiers
Detailed description
The Monument to Fallen Soldiers is a monument with an eternal flame in Frunze Park on Karl-Marx Square in Rostov-on-Don. It is dedicated to the soldiers and citizens who died in the Great Patriotic War. The memorial was opened in 1969. The memorial to the Fallen Wars is included in the list of cultural monuments of the region. The memorial is a huge concrete semicircle mounted horizontally on two pillars. According to the author of the memorial, the half-ring symbolizes a cruelly cut short life. Inside there is an engraving with the image of the mother's Homeland, in her hand she holds a laurel branch. An eternal flame burns in the center of the ring.
