City estate of F.I. Prove – A.I. Kalish
Detailed description
The estate was built in 1895 by order of I. K. Prove, a famous industrialist and entrepreneur of German origin. The main house with two symmetrically arranged wings was built for the younger children I.K. Prove, the twins Fedor and Adele. The buildings of the old Lanins estate were demolished, and a new three-story house was built in their place. Its first floor was reserved for utility rooms and servants' quarters, the second floor was entirely occupied by F.I. Prove's apartment, and the third by Adele's apartment. The rooms in the apartment were divided into separate main entrances – on the right for Fedor, on the left for Adele, decorated in different ways. The wings were also divided between brother and sister – the right one belonged to Fyodor, the left one belonged to Adele.
The facades of the manor house and wings are painted contrasting red and beige and decorated with rustication. The main facade of the house is decorated with stucco, the windows are framed with architraves.
