Makayev 's apartment house
Detailed description
The apartment building was built in 1903 by the famous architect G. I. Makaev for Nadezhda Gavrilovna Tarkhanova. But 2 years after the house was commissioned, the architect buys the building from the original owner. It was built in the fashionable style of that time - Art Nouveau. The building is decorated with ornaments, which gave the house many names: A house with poppies, a House with cats, a House with cacti. After the revolution, the house was nationalized. It is now a residential building with separate apartments.
