Detailed description

Morozov's house on Podsosensky Street, was built in 1879. It is known that since the middle of the XVIII century, the city property on this site belonged to the manufacturer Plavilshchikov. In 1839, Yelisey Morozov bought the property from them. In 1878-1879, his son and heir Vikula Eliseevich built a new main building designed by one of the most famous architects of the time. Before the 1917 revolution, it was owned by the Morozov family. After nationalization, the mansion passed to various tenants, including anarchists, kindergartens, research centers, publishing houses and various public organizations; in the 1890s, commercial shops were also located here, as a result of which the interior fell into disrepair. The wing is part of the main Morozov house, which existed in the middle of the 19th century and was known as the Pomorskaya molennaya, "in the house of V. Morozov." According to the old-timers, the chapel was two-storeyed, and the three-storeyed extension was made in the Soviet period. There was a winter garden on the east side of the building, which was demolished in 1979.
