The mansion of N.I. Mindovsky
Detailed description
There are several versions as to who owned the house: it may have belonged to a Russian industrialist magnate who commissioned the architectural project himself. Or this territory was part of a large estate owned by several people, including Prince Ivan Alekseevich Gagarin and the Mukhanov brothers. And at the end of the 19th century, the mansion fell into disrepair and the Moscow Commercial and Construction Joint-Stock Company bought it. The mansion is notable for its Russian neoclassical style combined with the Art Nouveau art form. It is known that Winston Churchill stayed at the mansion for the night. It currently houses the Austrian Embassy.
