Detailed description

The historic two-storey building is an architectural monument. It was built in 1790 in the "Classicism" style. The house consists of two facades, which used to be a single property. In 1840-1870, the house belonged to the merchant Seleznev. The building went down in history as one of the sites of the 1905 revolution. It was from here that the march against the police of the tsarist autocracy began to the Winter Palace on January 9th. Today, the building serves as an administrative building.
