Detailed description
The building was built in 1907, and was owned by Zinaida Alekseevna, the wife of Peter Nikolaevich Pertsov, a railway engineer. It was originally designed as an apartment building for representatives of the creative intelligentsia. At various times, artists Pavel Sokolov-Skala, Robert Falk, Vasily Rozhdestvensky, Nathan Altman, Alexander Kuprin and others lived here. In 1908-1909, a cabaret called The Bat was located in the basement of the house. The building is an object of cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation. It was nicknamed the "Fairy Tale House" due to its brightness and unusual structure.
