Detailed description

The ancient Novgorod Kremlin was mentioned in the chronicles in 1044. It was originally built of wood, and became stone in the 15th century. Now the architectural ensemble of the Kremlin is: the Kremlin itself with the Kokui Towers, the Pokrovskaya and Vladimirskaya towers, the Kremlin Park, the Eternal Flame memorial, the museum children's center, the library, the museum reserve, the monument "The Millennium of Russia", St. Sophia Cathedral, Vladychy Dvor, Yefimyevskaya Clock Tower, the faceted chamber, the wooden chapel of Vladimir the Equal of the Apostles, the Sofia belfry with an observation deck. The entire Kremlin is a unique monument of architecture and art.
