Detailed description

The building was built in 1834 according to the design of engineer-Major Egor Frantsevich Brun. At that time, he held the position of Head of the model workshop of the Institute of the Corps of Railway Engineers. He also lived there himself, together with his wife. By 1849, the house was sold to Alexandrova Anna Alexandrovna, the general's wife. In 1852, it was bought by Lieutenant General Ivan Kornilyevich Maksimovich, who received permission to rebuild. Subsequently, the writer N. S. Leskov lived there. Then the building was sold for a homeopathic clinic (the first in the city), and later a pharmacy. In Soviet times, there was a paid clinic there. At the moment, you can find the Medi clinic there. The building is designed in an elegant "classicism" style. After the reconstruction, the building retained its style elements, but the second floor was redesigned and a bay window was installed.
