Apartment house of M.L. Lunts
Detailed description
The two-storey mansion in the middle of the 19th century at the beginning belonged to the colonel's wife Elizabeth Ivanovna Brun. Architect Evgeny Frantsevich Pascal built an apartment building for her at this place. In 1910, the last owner of the house, Moisei Lvovich Lunts, ordered the house to be rebuilt again, after which it acquired a modern look in the neoclassical style. The facade of the five-story building had large balconies with metal grilles. The windows are decorated with triangular and rectangular sandricks. Different eras lived here: actresses of the opera house, famous professors and other celebrities of that time.
