The house of Princess E.I. Golitsyna
Detailed description
The house began its life as the mansion of the son of the life physician Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich, Blumentrost. At the beginning of the 19th century, it belonged to Councilor I. Albrecht, but in 1809 it was bought by Princess E. I. Golitsyna, where young talents such as Zhukovsky, Karamzin, Vyazemsky and Turgenev often met and communicated. Griboyedov also read his famous work "Woe from Wit" in this house. In the 20th century, the facade of the house became more modest, but since 1975 the Consulate General of Japan has been located here, thus preserving its historical and cultural value.
