Barracks of the First Battalion of the Life Guards of the Preobrazhensky Regiment

The barracks were built in the middle of the 18th century by decree of Empress Catherine I. After a great fire in 1852, they had to be rebuilt. During the construction, the latest achievements of construction science were used. The architectural appearance of the building has been preserved to this day without significant changes. Now the barracks are an object of cultural heritage of regional importance. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is located in the building.
