I.S. Myasnikov's apartment house
Detailed description
The apartment building was built in 1840 for the breeder I.S.Myasnikov. Initially it was a three-storey building, later it was expanded and added a fourth floor. The house is famous for its guests. It was here that the famous poetess Anna Akhmatova and her husband Nikolai Gumilev rented an apartment. As a student, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov (Lenin) lived in the courtyard wing when he came to take exams at the Faculty of Law at St. Petersburg University. The studio of the battle artist Vasily Petrovich Vereshchagin was located in apartment No. 5.
