Detailed description
An aerodynamic laboratory with pipes and a wind tower (1924) in the Moscow Scientific Memorial of Professor N.E. Zhukovsky, built in 1924-1925 by architects V. A. Kuznetsov, V. Ya. Movchan, I. S. Nikolaev and A. S. Fisenko. It was renovated in the 1950s. The roof has a semicircular shape, repeating the shape of the test station. An important architectural detail is the tower with a wind energy laboratory, which gives the building its uniqueness. In August 2016, the building was included in the list of particularly valuable cultural heritage sites of the peoples of the Russian Federation, as part of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute, an architectural complex of the 1950s. The founders, scientists and designers of the Russian aviation industry worked here: N. E. Zhukovsky, S. A.Chaplygin, S. P. Korolev, A. N. Tupolev. Since March 14, 2019, it has been a Cultural Heritage Site of regional significance.
