Demidov Manor
Detailed description
The main house of the estate existed at the end of the XVIII century and belonged to industrialist Demidov. In 1765, the front porch was erected. The decorative decoration of the house was supervised by the sculptor Just. The main house was completed by 1770. Around the house there was a large park with ponds, a grotto, fountains, various stone and cast-iron statues. At the end of the 18th century, residential wings that have survived to this day were erected in the eastern part of the estate. In the 20th century, the former manor park was built up between the manor house and the Yauza River. Nowadays, the Moscow State Regional University is located in the main building of the estate.
