The apartment house of the Zaikonospassky monastery

The apartment building of the Zaikonospassky Monastery is located near the Spassky Cathedral. The three-storey building with a bell tower and gates was built in 1899-1900. The house was richly decorated with stucco, cornices, and various decorative elements. The bell tower on the building exactly repeated the bell tower of the Church of the Assumption on Pokrovka. Sytin's bookstore was located on the ground floor of the house until 1917.
