Smirnov 's House

The building was built in the early 20th century, in 1901-1905, according to the design of architect F. O. Shekhtel. The architectural style is modern. The mansion became one of the most luxurious buildings of that time. In the central part of the building there is a high attic with stained glass windows. The facade is asymmetrical. There are four floors in the building, although at first glance it may seem that there are only two. The facade is decorated with a decorative lace balcony. The building was the center of the cultural life of the capital at the beginning of the 20th century.
