Detailed description
The building is the first and only Baptist church building built before 1917 in St. Petersburg. The Gospel Hall in the form in which it was built had three floors, with two halls, "Bethany" and "Golgotha" on the ground floor and the largest hall with a circular balcony on the second floor, with a maximum capacity of 2,000 people. 400 and 600 seats in the two lower halls. There are four apartments for the clergy. There was a hall for young people, a room for Sunday school, a visitor's room, a room for working with tramps of that time, a singing room and a tea room. There was a circle of colorful light bulbs on the roof, on which the words "God is love" were written. V. A. Fetler's book publishing company was located in one of the wings.
