Frontal place
Detailed description
A large number of buildings are concentrated on Moscow's Red Square, but one of them occupies a special place among them - this is the "Frontal Place", a small rounded elevation surrounded by a stone fence. In the past, it was used by emperors and high-ranking officials to announce decrees and deliver solemn speeches during festive events.
Initially, the building was a low brick basement surrounded by wooden bars. After several alterations, the "decapitation site" turned into a raised platform surrounded by a low stone balustrade with a plinth in the middle.
At the western end of this place is a door with iron bars, through which eleven steps lead to the upper floor.
