The Nabatnaya Tower is the middle tower on the eastern wall of the Moscow Kremlin. It is located on the slope of the Kremlin hill, opposite Vasilievsky Cathedral. The last tower was built in 1495, the architect is unknown. It was named after the installation of the Spassky alarm bell in 1658. The bell was removed from the tower in the early 19th century and is now in the Arsenal. The tower was built in 1495 on an elevated platform designed by an unknown architect. It was used to warn of fire and other hazards and was located in a location with a good view of the southern part of the city. The chimes continuously and frequently struck the large bells . However, the presence of the tower did not prevent a large fire that destroyed the Kremlin in 1574 in six hours.
