Bells

The bells of Veliky Novgorod are associated with the construction of St. Sophia Cathedral. One of the preserved objects is considered to be an Italian work. The bells still have inscriptions and the names of the craftsmen who made them. Many instruments were destroyed in a fire, while others had cracks caused by natural sounds. To get even measured sounds, the bells are swung so that the tongue hits the walls. They are cast from metal, each bell has its own specific diameter.
