The apartment house of H.S. Grinstein, in which the city architect G.N. Vasiliev lived and worked
Detailed description
The apartment building of H.S. Grinstein is located next to the Museum of Fine Arts. The three-storey brick building was built at the end of the 19th century. The hostess, Khaya Shlemovna, ran a grocery store on the ground floor. The house had apartments for wealthy residents with a front entrance, and those who rented small rooms on the upper floors passed through the gates, along the courtyard metal staircase. The Rostov architect Grigory Nikolaevich Vasiliev lived and worked in this house. As in the old days, it is now a residential apartment building with retail space on the ground floor.
