Main Post Office
Detailed description
The building was built by order of Catherine II's favorite Prince Bezborodko in the period from 1782 to 1789. The building is located on a rectangular plot. The current operating room used to be an economic courtyard, the post office building was located in the Yaguzhinsky house. By 1803, it was decided to move the main post office to this building, which led to a number of alterations. Of the 60 original bas-reliefs, two lion masks on the facade of the porticos have now been preserved.
