Trading house Brothers Clodt
Detailed description
The Claude Brothers Trading house sold German engines, dynamos, fans, and electrical equipment from 1907-1917. The building also housed two residential apartments. In 1919, the house was nationalized. The newspaper's editorial office, printing house and prosecutor's office were located here. The building was designed in the Moorish style. This is evidenced by pointed arches, minaret towers and walls with deep rustication. In 1948, the architect P.A. Shcherbachev was engaged in the design of the building. He designed a new interior. On the second floor of the building, flat pilasters, acanthus brackets and a profiled cornice were installed.
