Residential building of the City Department

The residential building of the City Commissariat was built in 1926-1927. The architectural design of the stone building was carried out by A.A. Yakovlev. The building is also called the Chernoprudensky skyscraper. It is the first multi-storey residential building in the city. The building has four floors and a corner turret. There were shops at the bottom of the house, and residential apartments at the top. Before the construction of the building near the Black Pond, trees were cut down and the power plant was demolished.
