The mansion of A.P. Bogdanov
Detailed description
This is a merchant's mansion, built in 1901 by architect A.O. Gunst. For a long time, the estate belonged to the merchant families Pravotov, Sarkisov. Alexey Stepanovich, a representative of the Sarkisov family, ordered a new house, but after its construction it was bought by A.P. Bogdanov, another representative of the Moscow merchants. The house was named after him. From the elegant flower pots on the cornices, columns with griffin crowns on the main porch to the square bay windows on the second floor, this mansion is unique among Moscow architecture of the early 20th century.
