Horse Guards Arena

The date of construction is 1807. The object is a cultural heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation, a monument of architecture and art. This is the historical building of the Imperial Horse Guards regimental arena. In Soviet times, it was used as a garage for a long time. Since 1977, the building has been converted into an exhibition center, restored to its original condition, as conceived by the architect. The manege building is stone, plastered, has two floors, an iron roof, sculptures on the roof. The facade is decorated with a portico, which is a loggia bounded by a Doric order and consisting of eight columns, a frieze, and a triangular pediment. Marble sculptures are installed at the entrance.
