The total area is about twenty-five thousand square meters. The architectural style used in the construction of the palace is interpreted as Russian-Byzantine. The main facade of the building overlooks the Kremlin Embankment.

Раньше этот дворец использовался как резиденция всероссийских императоров. Он был построен в 1838-1849 годах. В длину дворец достигает 125 метров, а его высота – 47 метров. Общая площадь составляет около двадцати пяти тысяч квадратных метров. Архитектурный стиль, использованный в строительстве дворца трактуется как русско-византийский. Главный фасад здания выходит на Кремлевскую набережную.
