Boyar Water Gate

The Boyar water gate, which is an opening with two projections on the sides, was originally located here, since in ancient times a stream flowed through the gate, which cut through the Kremlin hill. It is believed that the name "Boyarsky" was fixed behind the gates, since boyar estates used to be located next to them. Now the gates are one of the most unique sights of the Novgorod Kremlin.
