Memorial plaque to Yuri Stepanov

A memorial plaque to Yuri Stepanov is installed on Sportivnaya Street. In 1957, Stepanov set a world record in the high jump - two meters and sixteen centimeters. According to tradition, the opening of the memorial plaque was timed to coincide with two dates at once: the fiftieth anniversary of the world record and the birthday of Yuri Stepanov. The board is installed on the facade of the house, which is an apartment building. It was established in honor of Yuri Stepanov's achievements in the development of sports and his contribution to the highest achievements of Soviet and Russian sports.
