The estate of P.N. Sokolova
Detailed description
In the spring of 1960, collegiate counselor P.N. Sokolova bought a plot for her future home. Architect M.N. Zaitsev was engaged in the design of the estate. The construction of the building was completed in the summer of 1861. The stone two-storey house was decorated in an eclectic style. Shop buildings were also erected on the territory of the estate. During the Soviet Union, vestibules were added to the building. In 1980, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the building. It talks about the famous tenant of the estate I.F. Yakushenko, a Hero of the Soviet Union. In 2021, Sokolova House was added to the list of cultural heritage sites.
